| Wishlist Wednesday #5 |

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well! Today's Wishlist Wednesday features a little bit of all my loves. Perfume, The Body Shop, pretty pastel pinks, makeup storage, Urban Decay, Lip Butters, candles, and a very apparent caramel theme!

So here are a few of the things that I am currently lusting after. What is on your wishlist at the moment?

I am a big fan of Vera Wang particularly her 'Princess' perfume scents. Lovestruck is one of Vera Wang's most recent releases, and I adore the scent! Firstly, I love the advertising campaign for 'Lovestruck' featuring Leighton Meister (Blair from 'Gossip Girl'). Secondly, because this perfume is long lasting! You can still smell the sweet floral scent at the end of the working day. I find perfume staying power to be one of the most important things when investing in a perfume. This one does just that, it stays morning till night!

What are your recommendations for long lasting perfumes?

Ted Baker Large Makeup Bag. I love love love the sweet pastel pink, black bow, and rose gold detailing.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Peach. I sampled this in store and fell absolutely in love with the scent! The range is Limited Edition, so get in quick!

Definitely not a need, but a want. I love my Naked & Naked2 Palettes from Urban Decay and I only think it fair to welcome the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette into the family.

The much hyped about Nivea Lip Butters! I can't wait to try this, but can it be as delicious as it looks on the container?
 I hope so :)

I seem to have a caramel theme in today's post, but I guess there is a sweet tooth in all of us. I smelt this candle at a friends house a few months ago and it immediately caught my attention. A super sweet and creamy caramel scent. Perfect to light for cosy winter nights in, wrapped in your favourite blankie. Ahhhh perfection.
Yes. I did say blankie.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what is on my Wishlist this Wednesday!

What's on your list? Let me know in the comments section below. I love hearing from you!

Have a beautiful day!

| REVIEW & SWATCHES | Arbonne Lipsticks in Candy / Runway Rouge / Jam |

It is now officially winter time here in Australia!

One of my main challenges in the cooler months is keeping my lips hydrated and smooth. The skin upon the lips are one of the thinnest and most sensitive parts of our bodies. Protecting your lips is an important job!

After recently hearing wonderful things about the Arbonne lipstick range from fellow beauty bloggers, I knew that I wanted to try these lipsticks! After being contacted by Arbonne I was lucky enough to be able to trial 3 lipsticks from their hydrating lip range.
"So, for the next 5 weeks I put my lips to the test! "

Arbonne's  range of intensely hydrating and moisturising lipsticks, allow the wearer to achieve "long-lasting beautiful lip colour, with added health benefits", states Arbonne. Packed with Vitamins A, C and E as well as Pomegranate Extract, the formula intensely hydrates and conditions lips with a rich colour and beautiful scent that glides on smoothly for build-able coverage.

The Arbonne lipstick range is long-lasting and smudge-resistant, each of the 14 available shades provides lavish coverage that WILL last.

Arbonne Lipstick in Candy

'Sensual but sweet cool toned pink with a slight pearlescent finish'

It also helps that Candy is a muted cool-based pink, so it makes my teeth look super-duper-white!

Arbonne Lipstick in Runway Rouge

'Runway rocket in ravishing coral red'

When I applied Runway Rouge I noticed it wasn't your classic red, it is bright without being too over the top.  It also has very slight coral undertones and subtle sparkle that is primarily visible when you remove the lipstick (tiny sparkle particles are left on the lip). Runways Rouge is easy to apply and doesn't feather on the lips.

Arbonne Lipstick in Jam

'the perfect neutral plum for everyone'

Initially I thought Jam would be my least favourite out of the three I tried. Boy was I wrong! I found Jam to be the PERFECT neutral lip that leans towards a plum tone. It is a fantastic go-to lip colour, as it goes with whatever makeup look you are wearing!

Available in 14 shades: Earth, Scarlet, Coral Reef, Strawberry, Shell, Bordeaux, Copper, Rose Petal, Satin, Mauve, Vintage Rose,  CandyRunway Rouge & Jam.

All the lipsticks applied smoothly and with precision, in fact, they were a dream to apply! The small and slanted applicator tip made it easy to shape my cupid's bow. Impressive pigmentation of all colours and NO scent or taste to the product. YES, I did taste it! Such a dedicated beauty blogger I am :)

Beautiful sleek packaging with matte finish and solid "click" closure!

Key ingrediants: Wild Mango Butter, Alpine Skullcap, Lauryl PCA, Pomegranate extract, Vitamins A, C, and E.

FREE from Parabens, Phthalates and Talc.

RRP: AUD $37 each

I am also happy to say that Arbonne is 100% cruelty free = happy bunnies everywhere!

PRO's:
  • Ultra hydrating
  • Very pigmented
  • 100% Cruelty FREE brand
  • Fantastic colour selection
  • Sleek packaging
  • Size. Compact enough to pop in your pocket or clutch on an evening out
  • precise lipstick applicator tip
  • solid "click" closure

CON's:
  • Availability. Similar to Avon, you need to find an Arbonne representative in your area OR buy from the Arbonne online store
  • Slightly uneven wear overtime. But this is common for a lot of lipsticks I have tried
  • Price point is higher but the quality is obvious

THE VERDICT:

Do yourself a favour and moisturise your dry lips this winter with Arbonne lipsticks. Arbonne offers a NO NONSENSE answer to lips that want to be hydrated, luscious, and vibrant.

After a 5 week trial of the Arbonne lipsticks I have found them to have the most hydrating, & nourishing ingredients to get  & keep my lips in shape this season.

                                                                 Rating:  / 5

Have you tried any lipsticks from the Arbonne lip range? Which colour is your favourite?

What are your tips for luscious hydrated lips this winter?

Keep warm & take care,

| Flashback Friday | ABBM Christmas Meet @ Violet's Hair with Paul Penders & EVO Haircare |

Hi everyone,

Can you believe we are halfway through 2013 already?! Eeeep!

I had been meaning to publish this post for quite some time but it kept getting pushed further onto the back-burner.

Thus, it is now a Flashback Friday post!

When I look back on 2012 it was a fantastic year of change and growth. I have met so many fantastic and inspiring people from blogging and I am amazed whenever I reflect upon this fact. So far, 2013 has brought many exciting opportunities for my confidence to grow, and to step out of my comfort zone. You never know what good might come from it! Carpe Diem and all that.....

At the Christmas ABBM Meet we were treated to a demonstration by Anna Lisa from Violet's Hair of the great products on offer by my FAVOURITE hair care line, EVO HAIR. We were also given an informative presentation by Calvin and Bee from natural skincare and cosmetics company Paul Penders who travelled all the way from Perth to visit us!

Come along with me to the December ABBM Adelaide Beauty Blogger Meet which was held at Violet's Hair in Adelaide's CBD.

FOOD. CHIT-CHAT. COMPETITIONS. PRIZES. SWATCHING. CUPCAKES. FESTIVE XMAS FUN!

| PHOTO HEAVY POST |

There is a fantastic range of EVO hair care products at Violet's Hair

I loved the vintage feel & look of Violet's Hair salon!

Here, Anna Lisa is styling blogger Monnie's hair. Creating volume with curls

I am new to the world of Paul Penders, but I am loving what I have tried so far!

Simple packaging and perfect for travel size product lovers

......all the pretty colours of the rainbow & MORE!

Something for everyone

MUA Kitty from Miss Kitty Charms applies a festive smokey gold eye look to Monnie from Vanilla Silence.Teamed with a dark lip it is very striking! Don't you think?

It's all about precision when applying a dark lipstick. Make sure you use a lip brush to prevent feathering.

5 Minute Makeup Challenge! I teamed up with my friend Kate from Seduced By Beauty for some makeup mayhem.

Here I am applying Kate's makeup using a range of products from Paul Penders. So much fun!

Kate's Look: Paul Penders Mineral Eyeshadow in 'Spring Glamour' a champagne coral to make her blue eyes pop! Paired with Raspberry lipstick which complemented her skin tone.

I had to put in my classic "derp" face. I think I am explaining to the judges Kate's look and the products I used from Paul Penders.

THE WINNERS! Bee, myself,& Kate with the lovely prize pack that we won courtesy of Paul Penders. We divided up the goodie bag between us.

Christmas Cracker Fun!

Miniature Oreo Cookie Cupcakes

Amazing night with happy smiles all around!

I had such a fantastic evening with Violet's Hair, Paul Penders, EVO and of course all the ABBM beauties!

What are your favourites things about Christmas time?

Mine would be decorating my home with Christmas cheer, gift-giving & over-indulging in chocolates!

Take care & love from my home to yours,

x. k

| Wishlist Wednesday #4 |

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted a Wishlist Wednesday hasn't it? As Autumn has now left us I hope you are all settling into the cosy hibernation season of Winter. I plan on diving under a blanket and blogging for the next three months if only this were true!

Here are a few of the things that I am currently lusting after. What is on your wishlist at the moment?

Staple ultra-feminine Chloe Eau De Parfum. It was love a first spray with this one. I would love to add this to my perfume collection. The packaging is just so feminine, in all it's pastel prettiness.

A higher-end face cream that is supposed to work miracles for the skin.
LUSH edible Popcorn Lip Scrub! Need I say any more?

I have seen The Balm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter named a MUST HAVE by many-a-beauty-blogger. It is said to rival MAC's Soft & Gentle Highlight Powder. I am loving the finely milled appearance of highlight this gives to the cheeks. I think it wants to be a part of my makeup collection. What are your thoughts on the product? Have you tried it?

Glasshouse candles are pure perfection! Coney Island's Burnt Sugar & Fig really tickles my fancy, especially for the more Wintery months. The jars also double as cute storage for makeup brushes or cotton balls when the candles is no more.

T2 is like heaven for tea lovers and fanciers of all things pretty & delicate.I have the matching set of teacups to the teapot above, they are perfect for a tea-for-two scenario. Although, sometimes I just make a whole teapot for myself!

This teacup is part of the Turkish Delights range, I believe. That blue, just beautiful!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what is on my Wishlist this Wednesday!

 yours truly,

Enabler x
